    Default Our newest Pirate Designate

Would be the delightful Jenny who seemed to be in her glory as "Roadie for a Day" .. I do think Janis needs to take a count of the number of shirts she packed.. i think she may be short one ...

Since Jenny has shown the attributes necessary to join the brethren of the coast, namely the ability to pinch articles of clothing right beneath the gaze of an unsuspecting songstress and then boast gleefully about said pinching in the galleries of the music hall.. I hereby use my authority as Captain of the BBQ Pork Snout, and King of Pirates to bestow the title of Pirate Initiate upon Jenny.

Welcome to the brethren, Pirate Jenny!

Its a great song.. covered by Nina Simone and Judy Collins, written in 1928 Bertolt Brecht & Kurt Weill. Lyrics can be found here:

Default you are so kind sir......

..... and thank you for the kind words my pirate friend..... and there is no need for a shirt count..... she might want to check her jean count though....

and I accept my new position with grace.............. and I think I like it...

My apologies , I assumed that you'd pinch a matching shirt to go with the jeans

We of course need a picture of you wearing the pinched jeans for the rogues gallery!

The flower fled from my feet,
Tom Sawyer voice through the hole of the key,
    Landed so gently.
    Castles cover the cave,
I had no choice, the visions were brave
    And the phantoms were friendly,
And Pirate Jenny was dancing for pennies,
The knucklebones tossed in a spin,
There were silver songs on her skin.
And she wasn't caring when the ship came in.

    -Phil Ochs, "The Doll House"

Just thought I'd share another Pirate Jenny reference ;-)
