RedjackRyan[02/25/06 11:02 AM ]: Ok folks, welcome to the first Live Q& A with Janis Ian. We've set up this chat event so that you all can get to spend some quality time with Janis

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 11:02 AM ]: Agnes, you're up first.

Agnes[02/25/06 11:03 AM ]: Congratulations on the official release of FINB, Janis, and thank you for taking the time

to chat!

Agnes[02/25/06 11:03 AM ]: Do you have a personal favourite among these 15 songs? (And if so, which one?)

janisian[02/25/06 11:04 AM ]: Agnes, hard to say... my favorite for groove and guitar is Life Is Never Wrong. Fave

for singing is Great Divide. Fave for me as a writer is a tossup between Joy and Last train.

Annette[02/25/06 11:06 AM ]: Congratulations! I love the new album and I do really like the picture on the cd. Are

you able to autograph it after the concert April 27 in A'dam?

janisian[02/25/06 11:06 AM ]: Hi Annette!

janisian[02/25/06 11:06 AM ]: Yes, absolutely. As far as I know, I'll be staying and signing at every show this

year, unless it's a festival.

janisian[02/25/06 11:07 AM ]: Hi Lori.

cardiffgal[02/25/06 11:07 AM ]: Love the new album - Listening now - Janis - how do you deal with all your travel

year after year.

janisian[02/25/06 11:07 AM ]: Lori how do you mean?

cardiffgal[02/25/06 11:08 AM ]: Does it where on you? Do you sometimes just think I can't do one more flight?

janisian[02/25/06 11:09 AM ]: Lori, I hate flying. Absolutely loathe it. The older I get the more I loathe it... but

it's a necessary part of my life. So I just try to be smart about it; eat high protein the day before/day of, carry

no-jet-lag pills, sleep when I can.

janisian[02/25/06 11:09 AM ]: Realistically, the travel wears harder, the older you get. And I feel it in my

shoulders nowadays in ways I never did before.

janisian[02/25/06 11:09 AM ]: But again, a necessary evil.

janisian[02/25/06 11:10 AM ]: Dan, hello, happy birthday - or almost birthday!

Dee[02/25/06 11:12 AM ]: Hi Janis. A trivia question. Could you tell us about the people in the group photo featured

on the new CD?

janisian[02/25/06 11:13 AM ]: Hah! About a year ago I was nosing around Ebay, searching for

"folk+photograph+autoharp+, and found that for sale. Bought it, and it turned out to be an old postcard. No

copyright, so I figured it was okay to use.

Dee[02/25/06 11:13 AM ]: thanks!

mathias76[02/25/06 11:14 AM ]: hi janis, hope you are well, now my question, what three things would you take with

you on a desert island? and thanks for your time

janisian[02/25/06 11:14 AM ]: Three things? not three songs?

mathias76[02/25/06 11:15 AM ]: umm wel three things and three songs then

janisian[02/25/06 11:15 AM ]: A well equipped life boat. An unbreakable, always working solar heating/cooling

system. A working mobile phone that would recharge from sunlight. And probably 3 books rather than three songs.

mathias76[02/25/06 11:16 AM ]: thank you

Chet[02/25/06 11:16 AM ]: Can you add which three songs?

janisian[02/25/06 11:16 AM ]: Probably the longest ones I could find... just to fill the time...

janisian[02/25/06 11:16 AM ]: <grin>

Chet[02/25/06 11:17 AM ]: Thanks, Janis.

janisian[02/25/06 11:17 AM ]: Freebird...

janisian[02/25/06 11:17 AM ]: In the Hall fo the Mountain King by Rick Wakeman...

janisian[02/25/06 11:17 AM ]: Afternoon of a Faun by Stravinsky...

janisian[02/25/06 11:17 AM ]: And something live by the Grateful Dead...

janisian[02/25/06 11:17 AM ]: I'm done. Sorry. We got excited...

Chet[02/25/06 11:18 AM ]: mrsrock - your turn

mrsrock82[02/25/06 11:18 AM ]: Sorry about the font color..hope y'all can read it...can't seem to change it. I don't

have a good question at the moment - just in awe I guess - so can I just comment that your new CD is wonderful and

I'm looking forward to seeing you again on the 11th in Massachusetts.

janisian[02/25/06 11:18 AM ]: Mrsrock, thanks a lot! See you in MA...

janisian[02/25/06 11:19 AM ]: Hey, if everyone would type their questions ahead of time, we could fit more in...

janisian[02/25/06 11:20 AM ]: Just don't hit SEND!

saxman[02/25/06 11:20 AM ]: how do i tell people that what i am is what i am? and go for it life is to shortPlay

Dance and give back to the people that help you feel good music heals thats all i got to say feel it and be apart of

it and life goes on even if you have to listen to it instead of playing

saxman[02/25/06 11:20 AM ]: and can i get a hug in Philly

janisian[02/25/06 11:21 AM ]: Mike, I'd say you're doing a very good job of that already. And there's nothing wrong

with listening to life, in my book. And YES, you can get a BIG hug!

Lin[02/25/06 11:22 AM ]: Hi Janis, thank you for spending this time with us. My question - Is is difficult when

deciding what song will be first on an album?

janisian[02/25/06 11:23 AM ]: Sometimes, Lin...

janisian[02/25/06 11:23 AM ]: This album it was relatively simple. A fight had just broken out on the MB over

political correctness. Philip and I decided opening with Danger Danger would scare away anyone so rigid!

Lin[02/25/06 11:24 AM ]: Thanks Janis, see you on the 11th in Massachusetts!

janisian[02/25/06 11:24 AM ]: Will do, Lin.

rickster[02/25/06 11:24 AM ]: Janis, Hello from NY. I was truly inspired by "Shadows on the wind" Was this song

inspired by your Mom and Dad? I love the new cd...It's your best work yet!

janisian[02/25/06 11:24 AM ]: Rickster, beautiful review... thanks so much.

rickster[02/25/06 11:25 AM ]: Your welcome...You paid your dues

janisian[02/25/06 11:25 AM ]: Yes, that song is definitely about my mom and dad, and how strange it is to suddenly

be orphaned. I'm not sure yet how much I like the song; it's much more a mood piece than the rest of the album. But

it made me feel good to put all that confusion and fear out in the open.

janisian[02/25/06 11:25 AM ]: I especially like the lines "Yesterday's child begins life alone, missing home,

orphaned by time..."

rickster[02/25/06 11:26 AM ]: exquisitly written! (sp)

janisian[02/25/06 11:26 AM ]: Hi Pat. You don't have a voice yet... you'll have to beg Redjack to give you one...

Chet[02/25/06 11:27 AM ]: Janis, do you have anymore to add to your reply to rickster?

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 11:27 AM ]: Greetings Pat

janisian[02/25/06 11:27 AM ]: Sorry Chet. Done.

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 11:27 AM ]: Glad you could make it

princessbride1[02/25/06 11:27 AM ]: hi - give that boy his voice back.

princessbride1[02/25/06 11:28 AM ]: thank you. i think.

Chet[02/25/06 11:28 AM ]: Redjack has a question sent in by moe

janisian[02/25/06 11:28 AM ]: OK Chet.

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 11:28 AM ]: Invasion of the voice snatchers

princessbride1[02/25/06 11:28 AM ]: thanks ok. i'm just lsitening.

janisian[02/25/06 11:28 AM ]: Watch out. I happen to know that Pat's sitting in her home office, surrounded by

things like a collection of Godzillas and one of the original Predator masks...

Chet[02/25/06 11:29 AM ]: Redjack - moe's question, please

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 11:29 AM ]: now thats cool. great taste Pat

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 11:29 AM ]: Janis, I note there is a lyrical connection between "Joy" and "Home is the Heart",

with the line "home is just a heart away". Was this a conscious effort on your part to link the two songs, or was

this just happenstance? Is this something you do often when creating and album? i.e. tying songs together lyrically?

Chet[02/25/06 11:29 AM ]: Back on track, guys

janisian[02/25/06 11:30 AM ]: Moe, I really don't think about that... linking songs. Sometimes they're linked in my

own head, because one grows out of the other - I see a clear link from Jesse to Stars, for instance, and then to

Some Peoples' Lives. But otherwise, it's coincidence.

janisian[02/25/06 11:30 AM ]: I wrote both songs at home,

janisian[02/25/06 11:31 AM ]: in the summer, and was spending a lot of time sitting outside looking at our house

froma different angle. Also a lot of time thinking about how good it is to have a home you love, and how fortunate I

am.

janisian[02/25/06 11:31 AM ]: Done

Chet[02/25/06 11:32 AM ]: David?

Chet[02/25/06 11:33 AM ]: Your question, please

janisian[02/25/06 11:33 AM ]: Hi David.

janisian[02/25/06 11:33 AM ]: Might have lost his internet connection... seems to be going around...

Aceon6[02/25/06 11:34 AM ]: What's your strategy for keeping your energy up when you have a lot of dates so close

together? (Looking forward to the 11th as well)

janisian[02/25/06 11:35 AM ]: Ace, lots of naps. Lots of rest. Unfortunately, less exercise than I should get. And

I'm also surrounded by people whose job is to take load off me, which helps. On show days, I try not to do anything

but soundcheck and show, maybe a couple of phone interviews. Otherwise, well, it's my job to have energy at

showtime! Done.

Jak[02/25/06 11:35 AM ]: Hi Janis, we are looking forward to seeing you in the uk soon and we are happy that you

continue to travel! sorry it is such a pain for you - perhaps you should consider moving over here? Question for you

- when you read books what is your favourite genre and who is your favourite author? Thanks, see you in Worcester

and Brighton twice in the UK xxxx

janisian[02/25/06 11:36 AM ]: Jak, I've been on a historical fiction kick lately, lots of Colleen McCullough. Also a

huge science fiction buff, and a big fan of Young Adult. I love Mercedes Lackey, Orson Scott Card... wow, too many

to name here!

janisian[02/25/06 11:36 AM ]: Always appreciate it when fans bring me old used books to read on the road. Done.

RedjackRyan
03-31-2006, 12:46 PM
janisian[02/25/06 11:37 AM ]: ... a voice has been taken. That sounds ominous.

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 11:37 AM ]: It wasn't me, i swear!

Chet[02/25/06 11:37 AM ]: hold on a second, everyone

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 11:38 AM ]: You having problems over there chet?

Chet[02/25/06 11:38 AM ]: Oops

Chet[02/25/06 11:38 AM ]: Redjack, can you give voice to DanielCheuka?

Chet[02/25/06 11:38 AM ]: I need to exit and come back using IE

janisian[02/25/06 11:38 AM ]: Yes, please.

janisian[02/25/06 11:38 AM ]: Dan may be slow to type, Redjack, he has some disabilities.

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 11:38 AM ]: got it Chet

Chet[02/25/06 11:38 AM ]: See you guys in a bit.

janisian[02/25/06 11:39 AM ]: Hello Dan, nice to "hear you"!

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 11:39 AM ]: ok, thanks Janis

janisian[02/25/06 11:39 AM ]: Ah, didn't work. We'll try again if he comes back.

janisian[02/25/06 11:39 AM ]: Can you move us on, Redjack?

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 11:39 AM ]: he might have gotten bumped.

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 11:39 AM ]: ok, will do.. how bout kath of the guitar

janisian[02/25/06 11:40 AM ]: Hi again, Dan.

janisian[02/25/06 11:40 AM ]: Go Kath!

KathoftheGuitar[02/25/06 11:40 AM ]: Janis, A while ago you mentioned you exchanged instruments on a song during

recording, did it happen to be "Life is Never Wrong?" If not, which one is it and HOW do you do that? and we'll see

you in Homer with Leslie and Pat

Chet[02/25/06 11:40 AM ]: I'm back

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 11:40 AM ]: wb Chet

janisian[02/25/06 11:41 AM ]: Kath, sorry, I should have been more clear...

janisian[02/25/06 11:41 AM ]: We recorded Life Is Never Wrong with just the two guitars and drum, then overdubbed

the bass...

Chet[02/25/06 11:41 AM ]: Kath?

KathoftheGuitar[02/25/06 11:41 AM ]: yes

Chet[02/25/06 11:41 AM ]: 30 seconds

KathoftheGuitar[02/25/06 11:41 AM ]: ooooaaahhh

janisian[02/25/06 11:41 AM ]: and on Last Train, I recorded the song with just voice and guitar. Then we all went in

and picked up whatever instrument was handy - in my case, autoharp, banjo, couple of others...

janisian[02/25/06 11:42 AM ]: and played through a couple of times against the original track. Done.

KathoftheGuitar[02/25/06 11:42 AM ]: you are amazing thank you

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 11:42 AM ]: ok Lin, you're up

janisian[02/25/06 11:42 AM ]: Dan, no problem.

janisian[02/25/06 11:43 AM ]: BTW, Dan is one of my oldest friend/fans. He has cerebral palsy, and his mom used to

bring him to shows when he was really, really young. Great smile.

DanielCheuka[02/25/06 11:43 AM ]: gee thanks janis... aw shucks.. don't know what to say...

janisian[02/25/06 11:43 AM ]: Lin?

Lin[02/25/06 11:43 AM ]: yes?

janisian[02/25/06 11:44 AM ]: Question?

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 11:44 AM ]: Did you have another question?

Lin[02/25/06 11:44 AM ]: yes, Jackie saktes is a good song, what is the sorty behind it?

Lin[02/25/06 11:44 AM ]: story

janisian[02/25/06 11:45 AM ]: Done.

*****Unfortunately at this point we lost the server for a few moments...****

janisian[02/25/06 12:07 PM ]: Phew... what a roller coaster ride!

Jak[02/25/06 12:09 PM ]: Good to have you back Janis. In Worcester UK Sep 04 you sang "On the Other Side" and you

said that when a song comes to you, you sometimes think "where did that come from". Then something happens and you

then know why. What did you mean by this in relation to "On the other side" as you didn't elucidate this at the time

xxx

janisian[02/25/06 12:11 PM ]: Jak, I meant that "On the Other Side" so obviously related to 9/11 here, but I wrote

it months before. The same with "Great Divide" on this album, which relates to the issues in Louisiana but was

written months before.

janisian[02/25/06 12:11 PM ]: Done. Moving on to Marcia.

janisian[02/25/06 12:11 PM ]: Marcia, there's not really anything fans can do unless they are NARAS voting members,

and you can't become that unless you have a certain amount of record credits...

janisian[02/25/06 12:12 PM ]: Not much fans can do to help except to spread the word, push for airplay and reviews.

janisian[02/25/06 12:12 PM ]: Done.

marciadrummergal[02/25/06 12:12 PM ]: tahnks

marciadrummergal[02/25/06 12:12 PM ]: thanks

Chet[02/25/06 12:12 PM ]: Seth's turn

Seth[02/25/06 12:12 PM ]: thinking you went through in sequencing song order on FINB? And how do we get Bonnie Raitt

to cover your tunes? Especially All Those Promises

Seth[02/25/06 12:12 PM ]: any other thinking about sequencing

janisian[02/25/06 12:12 PM ]: Seth, I don't know what it would take for Bonnie to cover my tunes... or anyone

else...

janisian[02/25/06 12:13 PM ]: In terms of sequencing, we spend a lot of time thinking about it, trying different

sequences out, attempting to make the entire album flow. It's hard with some, easy with others. FINB was easy.

janisian[02/25/06 12:13 PM ]: Done.

Chet[02/25/06 12:13 PM ]: Mixtymotions next

mixtymotions[02/25/06 12:13 PM ]: (gulp!) Hello, Janis. For the sake of time remaining, I have no question - but I

do want to thank you for all your music, especially BTL, which kept me sane through a few drunken pity parties!

janisian[02/25/06 12:13 PM ]: You're welcome!

janisian[02/25/06 12:14 PM ]: We're okay on time, or at least I am for another 20 minutes or so.

Chet[02/25/06 12:14 PM ]: Has Daniel asked his question?

Chet[02/25/06 12:14 PM ]: And Kath of the Guitar?

janisian[02/25/06 12:14 PM ]: I think Dan was just going to observe.

janisian[02/25/06 12:14 PM ]: Unless Kath has another, yes.

Chet[02/25/06 12:14 PM ]: Okay, Janis.

KathoftheGuitar[02/25/06 12:14 PM ]: Of all the alternate tunings that exist, what made you decide upon that one?

Chet[02/25/06 12:14 PM ]: Kath, wait.

Chet[02/25/06 12:14 PM ]: We need to give the others who haven't asked their turns

Chet[02/25/06 12:15 PM ]: crittertalk, you have a question?

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 12:15 PM ]: Ok Janis, Moe had another question..... If this is not too personal a question, is

there (or was there) someone who inspired you to write the "Drowning Man"? Of all the songs in the CD, this one has

a feel of real life to it, if you know what I mean. Like you were singing for someone...

janisian[02/25/06 12:15 PM ]: Mmm. Moe, I can't comment on that, really.

janisian[02/25/06 12:15 PM ]: Done.

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 12:15 PM ]: Thanks

Chet[02/25/06 12:16 PM ]: crittertalk?

Chet[02/25/06 12:16 PM ]: Okay, Marjan

crittertalk[02/25/06 12:16 PM ]: Not really, umm Hi Janis.. I wanted to just thank you for your music and I hope you

decide to do more.. your songs are very touching

Chet[02/25/06 12:16 PM ]: Marjan, fire away

Marjan[02/25/06 12:16 PM ]: When and where did you got the idea to ask Pat to drawn those pictures for the new cd

janisian[02/25/06 12:16 PM ]: Hi Crittertalk, and thanks.

crittertalk[02/25/06 12:16 PM ]: Just a quick interjection: I would love to see you in person

janisian[02/25/06 12:17 PM ]: Marjan, I've always loved Pat's artwork. That was her first intention, to become an

artist - she had a full scholarship to the U of Rome for art when she was just 13 years old....

janisian[02/25/06 12:17 PM ]: And I love her line drawings. She'd begun fooling around in Paint on the computer, and

I loved that stuff too.

janisian[02/25/06 12:17 PM ]: So this seemed a perfect time to nag her into something like this.

janisian[02/25/06 12:17 PM ]: Done.

Chet[02/25/06 12:17 PM ]: Jevans' turn

jevans[02/25/06 12:18 PM ]: No questions here....just reading! Thx.

Chet[02/25/06 12:18 PM ]: Okay, we're done with questions from everyone on the list ... I think.

Chet[02/25/06 12:18 PM ]: Did we miss anyone out?

Chet[02/25/06 12:18 PM ]: Janis, back to Kath's question

janisian[02/25/06 12:18 PM ]: Then, Kath, the way I decide on the tuning is usually that I write the song in that

tuning, and there it stays!

janisian[02/25/06 12:19 PM ]: Crittertalk, do you live anywhere we're touring?

crittertalk[02/25/06 12:19 PM ]: I live in ohio

crittertalk[02/25/06 12:19 PM ]: not sure where you are going to be close to there

janisian[02/25/06 12:19 PM ]: Oh, don't think we're getting there right yet. Keep an eye on the tour schedule

though, we do get in and out.

marciadrummergal[02/25/06 12:19 PM ]: Louisville if you are south and Pittsburgh if you are north or east

marciadrummergal[02/25/06 12:20 PM ]: those are the closest

Chet[02/25/06 12:20 PM ]: marcia said she had 4 questions

janisian[02/25/06 12:20 PM ]: No more questions?

crittertalk[02/25/06 12:20 PM ]: ok thanks.. I will try and keep an eye on the tour schedule

Chet[02/25/06 12:20 PM ]: Janis, can she ask another one?

Jak[02/25/06 12:20 PM ]: Thank you for spending time with us, we have really enjoyed it. See you in the UK. Take

care xxx

Cardiffgal[02/25/06 12:20 PM ]: Janis u seem to have a real affinity for Ireland. How did that start? What is your

favorite place in Ireland?

rickster[02/25/06 12:20 PM ]: Janis, what brought the "Crocodile Song" to fruition? very funny....poor Annie May.

RedjackRyan
03-31-2006, 12:47 PM
janisian[02/25/06 12:20 PM ]: Fireaway, Marcia.

marciadrummergal[02/25/06 12:20 PM ]: Your new road manager.....can you tell us about him and what will Philip be

doing now?

Chet[02/25/06 12:21 PM ]: from now on, if anyone has a question, please type question and we'll get to you

janisian[02/25/06 12:21 PM ]: Okay, Cardiff. It started my first visit there - I just loved it. My favorite place is

probably anywhere on the coast.

janisian[02/25/06 12:21 PM ]: Rickster, I have no idea - I really intended to write a kid's song, and it came out

like that.

janisian[02/25/06 12:21 PM ]: Marcia, we have new road manager/.soundman and new merchandise person... more coming

in a sec...

janisian[02/25/06 12:21 PM ]: Road manager is Greg; very experienced soundman, wonderful to work with. Reminds me a

lot of Philip when he was younger. Based in Nashville.

JohnL[02/25/06 12:22 PM ]: hello all

Lin[02/25/06 12:22 PM ]: Jackie Skates is a really good song, what is the story/idea behind it?

janisian[02/25/06 12:22 PM ]: Merch person is Gale. 3 grown children, used to handling money and customer service,

very grounded.

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 12:22 PM ]: Hi JOhn

KathoftheGuitar[02/25/06 12:22 PM ]: hi john

marciadrummergal[02/25/06 12:22 PM ]: Hi John

Chet[02/25/06 12:22 PM ]: Hi, John!

Lin[02/25/06 12:22 PM ]: hi John

Cardiffgal[02/25/06 12:22 PM ]: Hi John

marciadrummergal[02/25/06 12:22 PM ]: Sounds like you have it well organized, Janis

rickster[02/25/06 12:22 PM ]: hey John

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 12:22 PM ]: Hello Joel, welcome to whats left of the chatserver

janisian[02/25/06 12:22 PM ]: Philip became co-manager last year. He'll be on the road first part of the US and UK

tours, then staying home to mind the shop.

Chet[02/25/06 12:22 PM ]: Wow, talk about late comer

rickster[02/25/06 12:22 PM ]: Hello Joel

rickster[02/25/06 12:23 PM ]: Really

Chet[02/25/06 12:23 PM ]: Joel, you have a question for Janis?

marciadrummergal[02/25/06 12:23 PM ]: Thanks Janis

janisian[02/25/06 12:23 PM ]: Marcia, we're hoping so. I've spent the past three days packing and sorting, while

Philip does the same with the equipment. It's a lot of new for us...

janisian[02/25/06 12:23 PM ]: New rd mgr/soundman, new merch, new clothes, new suitcases...

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 12:23 PM ]: sure you do John

Joel[02/25/06 12:23 PM ]: Hi Redjack. Hi Rickster. Sounds like ya'll have had a great time. Not for now Chet. I'll

just listen in. Imagine that.....

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 12:23 PM ]: we're running wide open right now

janisian[02/25/06 12:23 PM ]: Ignore John's speaking. Somehow his posts from hours ago are suddenly getting in.

Done.

marciadrummergal[02/25/06 12:23 PM ]: new music

[B]janisian[02/25/06 12:24 PM ]: Yes, lots of new music.

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 12:24 PM ]: ok thanks Janis

Cardiffgal[02/25/06 12:24 PM ]: Janis are you pleased with your press and reviews so far? for FINB

crittertalk[02/25/06 12:24 PM ]: janis - do you have any 'rodies'? or ppl that help you on your tours?

mixtymotions[02/25/06 12:24 PM ]: <finally shoves her lower jaw back into correct position>

[B]janisian[02/25/06 12:25 PM ]: Lori, yes, we're getting fabulous reviews, particularly overseas. We have a shot at a

USAToday review and a NY Times piece, so keep fingers crossed.

[B]janisian[02/25/06 12:25 PM ]: Critter, we can't afford roadies... <grin>

rickster[02/25/06 12:25 PM ]:

KathoftheGuitar[02/25/06 12:25 PM ]: Janis, Performing Songwriter has done a wonderful interview on you... GREAT

crittertalk[02/25/06 12:25 PM ]: bummer.. I would do it for free..

[B]janisian[02/25/06 12:25 PM ]: Really, it's not a big enough organization at that point to need them.

Chet[02/25/06 12:25 PM ]: Janis, I got word that FITNB was released in Hong Kong yesterday (Saturday, 25 February

2006)

[B]janisian[02/25/06 12:25 PM ]: Kath - you mean in a current issue?

Chet[02/25/06 12:26 PM ]: It will be followed by Malaysia and Singapore in a few weeks

JohnL[02/25/06 12:26 PM ]: Hello Chet

KathoftheGuitar[02/25/06 12:26 PM ]: yes

KathoftheGuitar[02/25/06 12:26 PM ]: fabulous

crittertalk[02/25/06 12:26 PM ]: understand.. that's ok.

KathoftheGuitar[02/25/06 12:26 PM ]: and i was so proud to show everyone in south florida

rickster[02/25/06 12:26 PM ]: Janis, How about "Rolling Stone" Magazine for a review?

[B]janisian[02/25/06 12:27 PM ]: Critter, all, here's the deal with people making generous offers like that. It's not

the salary that gets expensive - we can build that in. It's the rooms, and the board, and the travel. We'd need a

much bigger van; actually, we're already using an eight door cargo van, so we'd have to go up to a bus. We really

can't afford that.

[B]janisian[02/25/06 12:27 PM ]: Rickster, from your mouth to God's ears!

Joel[02/25/06 12:27 PM ]: Thank you Janis for this chat. I'll see ya'll later. In the board room...

janisian[02/25/06 12:27 PM ]: Kath, I haven't seen today's mail yet - I'll look forward to that!

Cardiffgal[02/25/06 12:27 PM ]: Janis thank you so much for taking the time to be here today.

rickster[02/25/06 12:27 PM ]: You must know someone in New York? eh?

[B]janisian[02/25/06 12:27 PM ]: If no one has any more questions, I'm going to go ahead and sign out, and get back to

trying to figure out a set...

RedjackRyan[02/25/06 12:27 PM ]: taking over for sinatra eh Joel?

Cardiffgal[02/25/06 12:27 PM ]: Cheers for Janis

Lin[02/25/06 12:27 PM ]: bye Joel

KathoftheGuitar[02/25/06 12:28 PM ]: got it last week..... March/April issue

Cardiffgal[02/25/06 12:28 PM ]: Cheers for Redjack and Chet

Thanks for posting this on the board. I had read it after the fact, on Kyalla but it is great to see it over here! It was a wacky night with all of the server issues but it was one rollercoaster ride I didn't mind going on!!
